THE AENEID

by Dan Colley and the company

Virgil’s Aeneid is the myth of the Roman people from which they derived their identity and from which Augustus derived his divine authority. It tells the story of the people who left their burning home in Troy, to found Rome.

It’s not true, but it’s a good story.

Collapsing Horse’s Aeneid brings this ancient tale to life, with their brand of simple, theatrical magic. This selectively faithful adaptation is a celebration of myths and their complex relationship to the truth.
