DISTANCE FROM THE EVENT

by Eoghan Quinn

Distance From The Event is an Irish science fiction noir piece, set in a dystopian future in which paper is extremely rare. It tells the story of Mel, a detective trying to take down a rogue art dealer, and dealing with the incursion of a distant alien voice into her psyche. It is a story about isolation, not-knowing, and life’s hidden symmetries, told through a pastiche of narratives, genres, lights, walls, puppets, and violence.
